About Me

I am a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My areas of specialty are American politics and methodology. My research agenda in American politics focuses on political representation, mass/elite linkages, public opinion, and state politics. Within methods I am interested in model selection, robust regression methods, multilevel/clustered data, and the use of Monte Carlo simulation to better understand issues that arise in applied analysis. My dissertation, which is currently supported by NSF grant SES-1119697, examines representation as a multidimensional concept using three original sources of data (click here for more information).
